Osun NSCDC Command Holds Ramadan Lecture

The adoption and enforcement of Sharia law in Nigeria has been described as a way out of Security challenges facing the country.


The guest lecturer Imam Ustaz Muhammed Jamiu,Chief Imam Acadif,Ilobu branch,Osun State revealed this during this year Ramadan lecture organized by the Muslim community of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun state command on Thursday 29th April,2021 with the theme” Insecurity, its effects and Solutions”.


Imam Ustaz Jamiu said, all hands must be on deck to nip criminal activities in the bud as government alone can not win the fight against Insecurity.


He also enjoined all and sundry to hold on to God, saying that anyone that has the fear of God will only live in Peace with his,/ her neighbour as Islam is a religion of Peace.


The guest lecturer also mentioned few causes of Insecurity in the country;
-Serving another god with your creator
-Having confidence in Diablocal power
-Seeking for diabolical power
-When there is no Fear of God
-Inability to call on God for mercy
-Inequality among human being, among others.


He also called on security personnel to be in unity and learn to trust one another in order to achieve the common goal of securing lives and property.


While declaring the lecture opened the State Commandant, CC Abdulkadir Alao Sulu said Security is everybody’s business, therefore everyone must work hand in hand to make Nigeria a peaceful nation.


In his own speech, the 2021 Ramadan Committee Chairman, Assistant Superintendent of corps, Lamidi Adesoye appealed to the participants to donate generously towards the Mosque building project at Onibueja, the new state command headquarters.
