Heavy Rainstorm Destroys Osun Poly Library, Electric Poles

The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree is currently counting its loses as property worth millions of naira got destroyed by heavy rainfall.

The rainstorm, which started around noon on Tuesday was accompanied by a heavy windstorm that damaged part of the school library forced the school management to vacate all books in the part of the library to another place

The front canopy of the Academy Planning building was also blew off by the wind.

Other affected buildings of the school are; Mass Communication department Shelter and Bursary department.

Many electricity poles inside the school all fell on the sight.

The heavy rain, which lasted for an hour 15 minutes, also caused a power outage in the school premises.

All efforts to contact the school management through the Director of Works proved abortive.
