Sanwo-Olu Commissions LagosHOMS Phase 2

presents 3- bedroom apartment to Mama Awero

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday commissioned 360 unit LagosHOMS Phase 2 Scheme at Igbogbo area of the state.

According to Sanwo-Olu “The 360 unit estate comprising 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments symbolises unwavering commitment to the Greater Lagos Project, and determination to build and deliver modern homes that will cater for the need of Lagosians irrespective of social or economic status.”

He reiterated his administration commitment in making life better for residents of the state “All these projects are being done to bring real development into Ikorodu and improve the lives of the people in this important area of our State.

“We are doing extensive road infrastructure in Igbogbo and we are extending another road from Ibeshe. The Baiyeku Road needs to be fixed and we will look at it once we are able to push the ongoing Igbogbo road project to a significant stage.

“We are also working on the Agric-Isawo and Oba Sekumade Road, while we are planning the redevelopment of the roundabout at Ita Elewa” he said.

The Lagos governor during the commissioning ceremony rewarded 2 exceptional members of the State teaching staff with completed three bedroom apartments for winning national education awards for their excellence.

They are the Principal of Government Junior College in Ketu-Epe, Mr. Dunni Ikuseyi (Principal of the Year) and recipient of Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Elusakin of Oriwu Model College.

He encouraged them to keep up the good work and task members of the State teaching staff to continue to strive for excellence.

Also, a 3- bedroom apartment was presented Mama Awero,a Nollywood veteran.

“I believe our cultural icons should be celebrated when alive and not only after they are no more” the governor said.
