NNL: 3rd Placed Osun United Set To End Vandresser’s Unbeaten Record

It’s going to be an interesting encounter between Osun United and Vandresser Football Club on Saturday, March 6, 2021 when the two sides slug it out at the Osogbo Township Stadium in the week four fixtures of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL).

One can say both sides, “Omoluabi Giants and the Lions of Naija” have been having impressive performances since the beginning of the season as they both remain unbeaten in three matches.

While Osun United are third on the log of Group B1 with 5 points after an away win and two draws, Vandresser FC are sitting 4th on the same log after a home win and two away draws.

Osun United are better off with an away win over Stationery Stores, a draw at Omoku, Rivers State against Go Round and at home to Nnewi United while Vandresser, on the other hand can boast of two away draws against Delta Force and Nnewi United, with a win over Nilayo FC at their backyard in Lagos.

This is the first meeting between the two sides as Vandresser are a new entrant into the Nigeria National League (NNL), making their debut in 2019.

From the performances of the two sides in three matches, it can be concluded that Osun United attacks are very sharp having registered at least a goal in each of their three matches, scoring 4 and conceding 3 in the process. Vandresser, on the othe hand can be said to have a strong defence, as they are yet to concede any goal in the 4 week-old season but they also only have a solitary goal to show in three games.

The match will kick off 4pm at the Osogbo Township Stadium under the strict observance to the Covid-19 protocols.
