Some Nigerian soldiers have cried out on social media concerning the condition they have been left in.
This is coming after about 100 of their colleagues were killed by Boko Haram insurgents in the latest attack.
While the presidency or military is yet to comment on the incident, the soldier claimed their superiors and some politicians are using them to make money and enrich themselves.
The soldiers also explained that the terrorists have more sophisticated weapons than them.
This is coming a day after a disturbing video surfaced online, which shows the moment some Boko Haram terrorist attacked a military base, leaving many dead.
The worst loss of life came after the insurgents attacked the military base in Metele village in the north-east of Borno State on Sunday.
An officer among the troops attacked at Metele told Reuters “The insurgents took us unawares. We lost about 100 soldiers. It is a huge loss.
“We all ran away because we didn’t know where the bullets were coming from.
They killed some of us who went to evacuate the bodies of the killed soldiers. We left our armour, tanks, and weapons … the village is still under their control.”
