LG Primary Election: Why Oyo PDP Withdraws List Of Returning Officers



The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has revealed why it withdrew the already announced list of returning officers’ saddle with the responsibility to monitor Oyo Local Government polls in the 33 local councils of the state.

The party stated that the decision was as a result of careful consideration of complaints.

These were contained in the release made available to on Saturday signed by Engr. Akeem Olatunji, the Publicity Secretary of the state party.

The full statement reads: “This is to announce the withdrawal of the earlier list of returning officers appointed to monitor Oyo 2021 Local Government Congress in the 33 local councils in the State.

“The decision was arrived at after careful consideration of complaints received by the party.

“Any inconveniences caused is hereby regretted as the party will communicate appropriately in due course.”
