Members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State have expressed their optimism that Senator Ademola Adeleke will take over the state government from Governor Gboyega Oyetola come 2022.

They said that the stolen mandate of Senator Adeleke by the All Progressives Congress, APC, given to him by the good people of Osun in 2018 will be reclaimed come next year.

They made this known during their meeting held at the state capital, Osogbo which was well attended by PDP members and top ranking chieftains of the party.

According to Mr Abibu Sunkanmi, who spoke with BlazeNewz after the meeting said PDP in Osogbo is fully in support of Senator Adeleke to contest for the governorship office for the second time.

“We have learnt our lessons in the last gubernatorial election and this time around come 2022 APC will suffer heavy defeat” he said.

Mrs Rasheedat Adeagbo who also spoke to our correspondent maintained that Senator Adeleke remains the only candidate Osun PDP can field to rescue Osun from APC maladministration.

“The country is suffering hardship and hike of foods with high standard of living including insecurity bedeviling the country because of the bad governance of APC from the top to the bottom” she said.

She urged Osun residents not to allow themselves to be deceived again by APC come 2022, saying PDP will bring back peoples oriented government.

However, BlazeNewz gathered that there is insinuation within the fold of the opposition party in Osun that the Ede born politician may likely not to be favored to pick the ticket come 2022.
