Speaking separately with sports journalists after the match, Osun United’s coach, Omokaro (MON) expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boys, saying they played according to instruction.

“It was a big battle between the two sides and a tough encounter. I give kudos to my boys not because of the draw but for playing according to instruction. The result was not bad but we still have to improve in our subsequent games.”

Go Round Football Club’s Coach, Abiye Tamuno described Osun United as a good side with outstanding physical performance, adding that his game plan was disrupted by the physical football played by the visitors.

“They (Osun United) are a good side with physical football which my players couldn’t understand particularly in the first half. This disrupted our philosophy as aq tikitaka playing side. However, we played better in the second half and this enabled us to score.”

Reacting to his hope for the next match where Go Round will play host to Stationery Stores of Lagos, Coach Tamuno said he was optimistic of victory.

“In football, you win, draw or lose but we have learnt our lessons from the match (against Osun United). I am not discouraged as am optimistic that we shall do the needful inq our next match. We can’t afford to slip at home again.”

Coaches Omokaro and Tamuno both expressed satisfaction with the officiating and commended the center referee, Ibe Nonye Richard and his assistants, Shedrack Ogbona and Ikena Obani for the proper handling of the game.
