Appointment Of Buratai, Other Ex Service Chiefs As Non-Career Ambassador , Right Peg In The Right Hole



President Muhammadu Buhari has been applauded by traditional ruler, Oba Ahmed Adekunle Oyelude Tegbosun 111, Olowu of Kuta kingdom for appointing the immediate service chiefs as non career Ambassardors.

The monarch maintained that the appointment of the ex service chiefs for the new national assignment is the right peg in the right hole, saying this will make them to lend their rich military experience for the advancement of Nigeria’s image in the county of Nations.

According to the monarch in a release “President Buhari deserves applause for providing another platform for the retired service chiefs to lend their rich military experience for the advancement of Nigeria’s image in the county of Nations.

“Retired General Tukur Buratai and his colleagues
therefore need to use their new appointments to galvanize global support for Nigeria’s peace keeping initiatives and efforts in African countries where terrorism and internecine wars have negatively impacted on peoples wellbeing and impaired socio economic and political stability of such Nations.

“It is hoped that the new envoys will deliver on Mr
President’s mandate by employing the “Patriotism
Mantra”that their years of military trainings and engagements had ingrained in them in service to their country

Reacting to controversy that the former service chiefs have cases to answer before the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity, the monarch said their appointment by the president has shown that all are just speculations and media trial.
