Osun NSCDC Seek Oluwo Support In Tackling Social Vices

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense, NSCDC, Osun Cammand have sought for the royal support of Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba (Dr) AbdulRasheed Akanbi, Telu I, in curbing social vices.

The Osun NSCDC through it Commandant, Abdulkadir Sulu, on Thursday, stated why it was important for traditional rulers to joint the agency in the fight in stopping all forms of crime in the ancient town.

Speaking at the palace,Commandant Sulu called for the assistance of Oluwo by using his position to impact positively on the society especially the teeming youth population.

He lauded the monarch for the love he has been showing to his subjects since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

The Osun NSCDC boss maintained that “As stakeholders in the Nigeria project their influence will go a long way in shaping the society”, also called for the cooperation of all in tackling social vices.

Responding, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, appreciated the giant strides of NSCDC in intelligence gathering and operations saying despite the limited resources at their disposal.

He, however, promised to support the agency in whatever way possible.
