.....appeals to State Government, Management for More Motivation

Osun United’s Headcoach, Bright Omokaro (MON) has promised the soccer loving fans and supporters in the state to expect good performance from his side when the Nigeria National League (NNL) begins next weekend, saying the present squad was made up of young, quality players who can make the state proud.

Speaking about the preparation for the season on Monday January 4, 2021 shortly after the club’s first training of the year 2021 which began with prayer sessions, the former Insurance of Benin Gaffer said he would do the needful, together with his assistants to make the Omoluabi Giants a formidable team.

“From our ends, we have put behind all woes to focus on the upcoming league. We know what’s at stake and we shall work hard to meet up. Abridged league is a very dangerous format where a team must not slip, particularly at home matches. This is why we need to double up our preparations, complete our tactical training, be fit and ready for the league.”

Speaking on the welfare of his boys, the “Ten Ten” as he is fondly called appreciated the government and the management and urged them to do more.

“We appreciate efforts of all stakeholders because they are doing their best for the club. We similarly enjoin the management and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to do more for us and the team before the start of the league. We have quality players who can get the job done for us but they need more motivation and financial encouragement to spur them the more.”

Coach Omokaro who described Osun fans and supporters as very passionate appealed to them for more understanding and full backing when the league begins.

“We thank our fans and supporters for believing in us and their words of encouragement during the trying period. On behalf of all of us (coaching crew) we want to assure them that we shall make them smile when the season begins,” submitted the former Shooting Stars Coach
