Ayedire Chairmanship Aspirant, Basiru Bags Outstanding Student Award

An aspirant for the Chairmanship of Ayedire Local Government, Adedokun Basiru has been awarded as the most outstanding student from Osun State.

The award is courtesy Momas Electricity Meters Manufacturing Company, who in support of the National Mass Metering Programme of the Federal Government, commenced two-week training for selected Youths across the country.

It was gathered that the company trained the participants on meter installation and repairs. They were also educated on the importance of team building, courier and logistics services.

Adedokun Basiru, who was a beneficiary of the training while speaking with newsmen in Osogbo said “I thank God Almighty for bestowing His favour upon me. I equally appreciate the MD and all staff of Momas Metering school for their support”.

He also commended Momas Meters for the laudable initiative for the participants and the Osun state government led by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for keying into the idea.

“Kudos to Osun State Government for giving me the opportunity to be among the state’s nominees.

“I thank the Honourable Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, Hon Olalekan Badmus and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Comrade Wale Adebayo, who doubles as the President of Osun Youth Group (OYG) and the state coordinator for always being of help”

The Managing director of the companyb Engr Moshood Balogun while presenting the award commended Adedokun Basiru for being industrious and creative.

He urged the beneficiaries to deploy the knowledge and skills garnered during the training to earn a living for themselves and also contribute to FG’s effort to bridging the country’s metering gap.
