Governor Babagana Umara Zulum discussing with aged women inside Borno IDP camp

This question to all concerned Nigerians on the political and insecurity activities of Borno State may attract different answers since we can not think in uniform nor subject our observations to a single sociological experiment .

The academia who turned active politician, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum is an individual who is proving to the people of Borno, those he sworn an allegiance to protect their life and property after he was given the mandate as the executive governor of the state what they deserved.

Governor Zulum has been spotted in an occasion where he spent weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with the displaced persons in the IDP camp.

Many have argued that Governor Zulum in his efforts to return and integrate those affected by insurgency who have been in Internally Displayed Persons camp for many years was an act of political paparazzi.

It is never a ruse that Governor Zulum’s government attracts international community including the United Nations who are all interested in seeing how the governor will use his intellectual capacity to free the helpless displayed persons back to their ancestral home.

However, some political analysts have linked his relentless activities and risk taking actions to the assumption that Governor Zulum is acting on Nigerians intelligence because he wants to position himself as presidential candidate come 2023.

Indeed a good governor can only be known with what Governor Zulum is doing, even since he assumed office as the executive governor of Borno State he has swung into action by putting all strategies to put an end to the insurgency crisis which he inherited from his predecessor.

Governor Zulum had provided foods, clothes in numerous occasions to the IDPs as part of his efforts to make the displaced citizens know that they are not abandoned.

Zulum has built schools and houses where the displaced persons are expected to return to and start their normal life.

His efforts have been producing positive results not until recent (July and September 2020) when his convoy was attacked on three different occasions where some security men lost their lives in the cause of their service.

Governor Zulum does not want accolade or sympathy from Nigerians while he is doing the job he pleaded to be given by the people of Borno knowing fully well that the state is under serious security threat from Boko-Haram.

He only need prayer from all Nigerians to succeed on his mission to return Borno state to a peaceful climate where infrastructural development and businesses can strive.

Peace in Borno is a victory to entire Nigeria considering the damages Boko-Haram terrorists have done to this nation at large.

No doubt, if Borno Governor allowed the insurgency (Boko-Haram) to continue in gaining muscle for their terrorism activities, it will consume that single state and by extension move to other states.
