Osun @29: OSHA Dept Whip, Ogunkanmi Congratulates Residents, Urges Citizens To Support Oyetola’s Govt



The Deputy Chief Whip, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi, has congratulated the people of Osun on the 29th anniversary of the state’s creation.

The 29-year-old state according to Ogunkanmi has witnessed ups and downs as well as the wave of tremendous development.

The lawmaker in a statement signed by his media aide, Fatai Akanji on Thursday, noted the sterling contributions of progressives class who have led the state to a position of envy among its peers.

Ogunkanmi also hailed the efforts of the founding fathers who ensured that their vision for the state’s creation is pursued vigorously by those at the helms of affairs.

“Like every other endeavour, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. The story of Osun has been that of a state blessed with both human and natural resources. These resources have in no small measure added to the progress we have today.

“All Administrators and Chief Executives since the inception of the state in 1991 have in one way or the other contributed to the stead of progress and development we have enjoyed.

“Of notable recognition is the infrastructural and industrial revolution from the first executive governor of Osun, Late Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, Chief Adebisi Akande, followed by Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, however, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has put the state on the map of prosperity with enduring legacies.

“As we approach the 3rd decade of Osun’s creation, let us join hands with government at all levels to move our state forward. Together, let’s lift Ipinle Omoluabi Higher.”
