Eid-el-Kabir: LAUTECH Urges Muslims To Celebrate With Caution

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology,LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo has urged Muslim faithfuls to ensure they maintain Nigeria Centre Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines during Eid-el-Kabir celebration for their safety against COVID-19 pandemic.

LAUTECH made this known in a press release signed by its Public Relations Officer, Ayodele Adeyemo on Wednesday made available to BlazeNewz in Osogbo.

ACTING CHIEF MEDICAL DIRECTOR, LAUTECH TEACHING HOSPITAL OSOGBO, OLAITAN ADVOCATES SAFE EID- KABRI CELEBRATIONS

The Acting Chief Medical Director, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo, Professor Peter OLAITAN has implored all Staff of the hospital to leave a safe life during the festive celebrations of the Eid Kabri bearing in mind the vicissitudes caused the world brought about by COVID-19 pandemic.

In a message to felicitate with the Muslim community in the organization, Professor Olaitan said, “the occasion should be used to demonstrate sharing of love fellowship and kindness to the less privileged in the immediate environment and beyond in accordance with the injunctions of Prophet Mohammed (SWT)”, urging that “the largesse of the period should also be extended to those who are on sick beds, invalids, and for such other people that are under one stress or another”.

The Acting Chief Medical Director assured the public that the services in the hospital will be sufficiently mobilized to take care of the patients on admission and those that may be in need of emergency care.

While wishing all Staff a good time during the Sallah, Prof OLAITAN advised that adherence to COVID-19 safety guidelines of wearing facemasks, physical and social distancing, regular washing of hands with soap, frequent sanitizing of hands and other personal and environmental hygiene should be accorded priorities.

The Acting Chief Medical Director, Professor Peter OLAITAN wishes all staff of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo a pleasant Eid-Kabri.
