Breaking : OYES Cadets Storm Osogbo, Protest Over Unpaid Salaries




Some member of the Osun Youths Empowerment Scheme, OYES on Monday in their large number stormed headquarter of the scheme in Osogbo demanding for their unpaid salaries.

OYES, which is a government intervention program for poverty alleviation through the engagement of youths of the state was introduced in 2011 by former governor of Osun, now the Minister of Interior of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Members of the scheme who spoke with our correspondent under anonymity alleged management of OYES of delisting their profile on the scheme portal which led to denial of salary payment.

Some of the member disclosed to our correspondent that the scheme is owing them five months salaries.

However, some set of the scheme said they joined the protest demanding for the payment of last month.
