The Secretary, Dr. Iyanda confirmed that a notice was sent to the Consultative Elders that the meeting would not hold and all the elders obeyed. None of them attended the meeting.

A member of the Consultative Elders Forum, Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin decried the posturing of the State Chairman.

” What was in full display yesterday was the arrogance and flawed leadership of Hon. Bolarinwa. He feels too big to ever call anyone but our elders called him and advised him to postpone the meeting. He concurred but still went ahead to hold a meeting with purported stakeholders.
” Irepodun is peaceful, our Party Chairman attends party meeting called by BOB. We welcomed him when he visited Irepodun recently. Why is he now looking for trouble when there is need for none”

Adedoyin pointed out the hypocrisy of the chairman’s peace mission to Irepodun.
” The state chairman has appointed himself a defacto deputy who follows him about. But the irony of it is that Ifelodun and Isin are where APC is almost irredeemably factionalized in Kwara state. Why is the Chairman and his defacto deputy running away from starting their peace mission from their fractured local governments?”

Adedoyin said that despite the state chairman’s destabilisation attempt, “Irepodun remains united in its support for the party structure and its unshakable partnership with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.”
