Parents and guardians in Osun State have reacted to Federal Government directive on reopening of schools for sections of graduating students which by extension will take effect across primary and secondary schools of the state.
Speaking with our correspondent in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area, many of the parents shared different opinions on the directive from the federal government.
A mother of two, who simply identified herself as Abigail told our correspondent that despite the directive from the federal government, she will not allow her son who she said is in primary 6 to resume school.
“The virus that we are hearing politicians, influential citizens are contracting despite their exposure is what they want us to allow our children to go and face” she said.

“Coronavirus has come to stay, it can not totally leave our society”, Akeeju Ibrahim told our correspondent adding that this is the period for all citizens to rearrange their way of life by ensuring to take responsibility of individual safety.
“Government at all level are showing responsibility of protecting citizens from contracting COVID-19, we the parents must also do the same for our family”, he stressed.
