Kwara Govt Mandates Tomorrow As Sanitation Day, Charges Residents To Clean Their Environment

The Kwara State Government has directed residents of the state to stay at home tomorrow Saturday, 27th June 2020 to clean their environment.

This directive was contained in a release by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin-Zubair in Ilorin on Friday.

He said the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is not taking lightly issues that have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens where cleanliness of our environment towers high.

Oyin-Zubair charged Community Development Associations and Community Leaders to take lead in ensuring their area is clean, with the warning that, henceforth leaders will be responsible for lapses in their areas.

According to him, the spirit of communal relationship will be revived to ensure we have clean and safe environment, particularly at a time a novel virus is ravaging the world.

He hinted that, interaction with Community Leaders have been initiated while other strata of community engagement will follow soon.
