The Kwara State Government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq through its rural-urban renewal initiative has completed the construction of Emir’s Road in Patigi Local Government Area of the state.
The just completed construction project is part of efforts by the state government to invest in critical infrastructure considering the deplorable state of roads especially those in rural communities. This is targeted at boosting economic growth and development in the state.
The state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr.Rotimi Iliasu reiterated the current administration’s commitment to local content development in order to create employment opportunities and further reduce the unemployment rate in the state.
He noted that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq directed the coordinating ministries to ensure the executing companies source for local materials, patronise and engage local artisans, businesses and industries in the host communities because he is focused on fixing major infrastructure while also providing job opportunities for Kwara’s teeming youths.
