Osun PDP Heading For Another Self Destruction

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Osun Chapter is heading for another self destruction as it successfully handed over 2018 governorship victory to All Progressives Congress (APC) due to its inability to manage internal crisis.

Together is power while division leads to destruction, the internal rancho between the party leadership of who become the chairman of PDP in 2018 between Dr. Bayo Faforiji and Soji Adagunodo led to the resurrection of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Osun.

This forced thousands of aggrieved members of the PDP who are loyalists to Dr. Bayo Faforiji to defect to SDP including former deputy governor and senator, Dr. Iyiola Omisore, who later became flag bearer of the party in 2018.

Few weeks ago the prodigal sons and daughters of PDP led by Dr. Bayo Faforiji and some factional leaders of SDP returned to their former party, PDP. The decampees have now posed another treat to the PDP structure in Osun, as some party members are drumming for Adagunodo to resume chairman office of PDP after being suspended by National Working Ccommittee of the party.

No political party is as arrogant like the Osun PDP in terms of settling its internal problem. The Coalition of SDP and APC during the rerun of 2018 governorship election was as a result of PDP self destruction because it has more advantage to reconcile with their former members in SDP led by Dr. Bayo Faforiji and Senator Iyiola Omisore.

Local government election in Osun is around the corner, while the ruling party APC is shuffling for best candidates to fly the flag of it party at the chairmanship and councillorship level, PDP is battling with who become substantial party chairman even when it has an acting chairman, Elder Sunday Akanfe.

Osun PDP leadership is characterized with power mongers, selfish individuals, who are only concerned on enriching themselves than winning elections which will enable residents of Osun to experience change of power at all level.
