Osogbo Motorists Lament Extortion In Disguise By Police Men, Call On Oyetola To Rescue Them



Motorists in the state capital of Osun state, Osogbo has called on Governor Gboyega Oyetola to safe them from the Nigeria Police men and other securities over what they described as extortion in disguise that the earlier total Friday to Sunday lockdown is still in effect.

Recall, Governor Oyetola in a statement signed and released to newsmen on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, said the governor lifted ban on the total lockdown earlier imposed on the state from Friday to Sunday for the next 14 days in the first instance.

Despite the directive from the state governor, the Nigeria Police men continue to mouth barricade on roads subjecting motorists to bribing.

Effort to reach the state commissioner of police on phone to inform him about activities of his men in order to call them to order proved abortive as the extortion continues.
