Encomiums continue to fall in on the 90th birthday anniversary of Hajia Raliat Amope, the mother to the people’s Governor of Kwara state, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who clocked the divine age of 90. An exemplary matriarch!

Such wishes from different quarters only accompanies the celebration of nine decades dedicated to community development and public service. And the world testified to her position and contributions to the development of her immediate community, Kwara state and indeed the country.

Hajia Raliat Amope is the wife of the first lawyer in Northern Nigeria, Alh. AGF AbdulRazaq, another nonagenarian whose contributions to his immediate community and the world have over the years received applause from different quarters.

The couple co-founded the defunct Ilorin College Ilorin (now Government High School, Adeta), a school that has grown from height to height helping groom successive generations of Kwarans helping to shape its future.

The celebrant has spent her entire life in the service of humanity, touching lives in numerous ways and serving as a source of inspiration to the younger generations.

Of all her works for a greater Kwara during the formative years having served as a councillor herself is the rare privilege of being the mother of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is rewriting the history books in Kwara.

We owe his goodwill and high level commitment to governance in Kwara to the tutelage he received under the watchful eyes of Mama and Kwarans are grateful for giving them a dedicated Governor.

Happy birthday to Grandma who is a moral compass for the generations to come. We celebrate a life of fulfillment and gratitude and pray Almighty God to grant her good health and peace of mind as Kwarans especially the womenfolk continue to tap from her wealth of experience.
