Bola Oyebamiji Applauds Human Rights Activist, Amitolu As (DG) Amotekun Corps, Says His Appointment Is Well Deserved

Osun Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji has hailed the appointment of a foremost human rights activist and Chairman, Osun Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Comrade Amitolu Shittu, as the Director-General (DG) of the newly established Amotekun Corps.

This is just as he congratulated the human rights activists on the appointment, describing it as putting a round peg in a round hole.

Oyebamiji’s message is contained in a congratulatory letter to Comrade Amitolu which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo.

He described Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s appointment of Amitolu Shitu as DG Amotekun Corps as a step in the right direction, describing the Osogbo-born activists as someone capable of guiding the Amotekun Corps to achieve results.

According to the statement, “I congratulate my friend and brother, Comrade Amitolu Shitu on his appointment as the DG Amotekun corps and I pray that God grants him the wisdom to carry out his new task.

“I have no doubt that he is a round peg in a round hole, he has the experience in the field of security, he has been doing a good job as the Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) for Osun.

“I have no doubt that he will do a good job as the DG of the newly established Amotekun corps, I am confident that the corps is in good hands.

“I know that the ultimate security lies with God and we pray that He continues to secure us. But as humans, we must also do certain things to ensure the security of our enviroment and that is why some people are saddled with the responsibility.

“I am sure Amitolu Shitu will do a good job as I congratulate and pray for him to succeed”. Oyebamiji stated.
