It is unfortunate that despite all previous and very concerted efforts to make peace by Benue State and relevant stakeholders on both sides, this unfortunate incidence has occurred again.

Irrespective of the current tension, I encourage everyone to remain calm as we continue to utilize options that direct to the path of peace.

The Senator who was a two time governor of Benue state from 2007 to 2015 further called on stakeholders to work together in support of government, state security agencies and the people.
