Lions Club Doles Out Gifts To Osun First Baby Of 2020

Members of the Lions Club International in the state capital of Osun, Osogbo have put smile on the faces of Mr and Mrs Adebisi Abass as they received baby items and cash to celebrate their baby as the first child of the year 2020.

Kafayat Adebisi, who delivered her baby boy at 1:00 am of January 2020 at the state hospital, Asubiaro, Osun State.

Mothers of second and third babies of the year also received undisclosed cash from the NGO.

Speaking while handling the baby items to Mrs. Kafayat,the First District Governor of the Lions Club, District 404B-2 Nigeria, Lion Adesoye Adetoyese congratulated her for save delivery, stressed that she was lucky among other mothers who put to bed in the early hours of the year.

According to Lion Adetoyese, Lions Club International is a non profitable organization,which does not receive fund from government to carry out their projects, saying member of the club contribute from their pocket.

“We are open to partnering with individuals and organizations who see giving to the less privileged as a must for better society” he said.

He however, admonished management of the hospital for well done services it is rendering to the society, charged them not to relent.

Managing Director of the hospital, Dr.Bello Akeem Babatunde, who was inducted as member of the Lions Club appreciated contributions of the NGO in reaching out to needy in the society.

He prayed for members of the NGO and urged them to continue in their good work.

Among members of the Lions club are, Former Commission for Information and Strategy of the State of Osun, Lion Sunday Akere, Lion Ojetola Olajumoke Femi among other dignitaries.
