A magistrate court, sitting in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Wednesday docked a 25-year-old okada rider, Adebayo Opeyemi for allegedly conspired with another person not yet arrested in stealing .
Adebayo who was arrested by police command in Iree on 15th December with Plasma TV value N70,900 One Generator set value N36,000, Infinix Hot6 37,500 and N65,000 cach.
The accused person arraigned before Mrs A.O Ajanaku a on three count charge bothering burglary and stealing pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Elijah Olusegun, told the court that the accused person stole the properties of one Oyeyemi Olalekan, Omoniyi Kayode, Oluwaseyi Olusola.
He further said that the offence is punishable under section 516 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
Counsel to the accused person, Abiodun Afolabi, prayed to the court to grant his client bail in the must liberal term and promised that the accused person will not jump bail.
The magistrate, Mrs A.O Ajanaku in her ruling granted the accused person bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety.
She later transferred the case to Iree magistrate court and adjourned the case till January 7, 2020 for mention.
