Delta Secondary School Student Slaps Corps Member

Corps Members serving in Ila Mixed Grammar School, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State have called on National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) of their state coordinator, Mr.Omotade Benjamin to save them from students threat to their lives and harassment.

The corps members made the call yesterday after one of their colleague was allegedly slapped by a student whom they said is suspect to be a cult member.

An eyewitness who is also a corps member told Blaze Newz that his colleague was slapped by unidentified student of the school who he said is suspected to be a secret cult member.

The eyewitness further said “we found it very surprised that the corps member could not identity the student who slapped him.

“This incident has psychologically affected we the rest corps members and may reduce our dedication to the teaching works” the eyewitness noted.

The corps members who reside within Ila Community further said “We are afraid of our security as no assurance that our lives are saved because this harassment may go beyond the school premises.

Another corps member, Miss Chinyere, serving in Ebu Grammar School, under the same local government disclosed downers in her PPA saying the level of sexual harassment female corps members receive in secondary schools is alarming and must be curtail by NYSC.

“I have been asked out by a male student of SS3 in the classroom who is still in the age bracket of 20 while I was teaching” he explained.
